It is UNP leader Ranil Wickramasinghe who initiated petty regional division to politics by calling UPFA policies (Mahinda Chinthanaya) as “Madamulana Chinthanaya”. The government correctly responded to Ranil by calling UNP’s politics as “Kollupitiya Chinthanaya”.

By calling “Madamulana Chinthanaya”, Ranil Wickramasingha may have intended “Gode Chinthanaya” as most of the elite lumpant comprador society in Colombo look at the villagers of this country. This elite society has now completely lost the grip of political power in Sri Lanka. However, they are still fighting hard to regain their lost political supremacy.
